2021–22 Core Assessment

For the 2021–22 academic year, the College assesses its Core "competencies." Instructors submit spreadsheets containing class rosters (one row for each student, individuated by name or student ID), with items in the corresponding Core rubric in each column. At the intersection of the column and row, instructors place a rating for that student's performance according to that section of the rubric.

Instructors' ratings should be based on some major assignment in the course that helps measure the student's performance according to the Core competency in question, or if there is no such major assignment, on a collection of assignments in the course that measure that competency.

Instructors may choose a letter or number to enter at that cell based on the ratings in the rubric.

If a student did not complete the assignment in question, the instructor may enter "N/A."
